Teachers Pay Teachers Day of Giving
We are teaming up with a fabulous group of almost 100 Teachers Pay Teachers sellers to make a difference in the world by donating all proceeds on September 27th, 2018 from our stores to a chosen charity for the TpT Day of Giving. Each seller has chosen a charity that they believe in. Some of the charities that have been chosen include St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Homeless Children's Playtime Project, and Heifer International... just to name a few!
Did you know?
One in six people in the world don't have access to safe water *
Nearly 5,000 children die a day from preventable water and sanitation-related illnesses *
Women and children spend an estimated combined total of 20 million hours a day collecting water *
The Water Princess
The book, The Water Princess written by Susan Verde and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds, inspired us to support the work of the Ryan’s Well Foundation. The Water Princess is an inspiring book about a little girl who spends all day every day walking to fetch water for herself and her family. This is a terrific read-aloud that sparks fantastic discussions about how children's lives can vary so much around the world and how truly blessed many of our students are. It can be really easy to lose sight of how much we really have.
Ryan's Well Foundation
We have chosen to donate our proceeds to Ryan's Well Foundation. It’s appalling that nearly one billion people around the world have limited access to clean, drinkable water. * The Ryan’s Well Foundation is working with local partners in developing countries to provide access to clean water and sanitation and hygiene education. And we’re inviting you to be part of the change!
How Can You Help?
By shopping in our store on September 27th, 2018! All proceeds on our Teachers Pay Teachers store on the TpT Day of Giving (09/27/18) will be donated to the Ryan's Well Foundation.
Check out our latest product line, our Mindful Thoughts Journals! They're filled with daily mindfulness activities for students to help them develop a growth mindset. Each monthly journal focuses on a different character education concept and reflection to build social emotional-learning skill. For example, September focuses on the concept of respect. Students will think about what it means to be respectful, how it feels to be respected, and what someone can do to show respect for others. We created these journals to help students become more mindful of their thoughts and actions and how they can impact others. We hope that this journal will help your students as much as it has helped ours!
So, help us support this amazing organization and come in and shop on September 27th, 2018! Help support the TpT Day of Giving!
